Thai and Chinese belong to the Sino-Tibetan language family, there are same, similarities and differences between them. From the perspective of linguistic typology, they are all isolated words, and they use the word order of SVO, which is the word order of "subject-predicate-object". Both use word order and function words as important means to express grammatical meaning.Understanding the similarities and the differences between them will help Thai learners to reduce the interference of their mother tongue in Chinese learning, and to correct errors during learning process. This article mainly compares and analyzes some characteristics of the grammatical structure of modern Chinese and Thai, finds out the similarities and the differences in the grammatical structure of the two languages, analyzes and summarizes the common errors and main reasons for the Chinese grammar learning of Thai students based on practical examples, and proposes some specific teaching strategies for Thai students in the process of Chinese grammar learning in order to reduce Thai students’ grammatical errors.
