A Comparative Study on Two Thai Versions of Li Sao

The dissertation aims to make a contrastive research on two Thai versions of Li Sao. The two versions are analyzes in the perspective of traditional linguistics. On the one hand, it would evaluate three aspects of two versions: faithfulness, expressiveness and appropriateness translation principles. On the other hand, it would analyze the error or the defects of the translations, and try to seek out the relation between the differences of the translator's decision and the quality of translations.
